Been extremely busy with the day job, the new baby is taking up lots of time .. and well... you know how life gets on top of you and you don't have time to breath .. it's been a bit like that. Other hobbies beside tunnel flying?

other than tunnel though I don't really do too much hobby-wise... crafting I suppose, you know making things, my specialty is making something outta nothing!!

what do you do for other hobbies.... you know, something regular that you do..

I haven't flown for weeks .. arrgggggh!! I am gonna go mad soon!!

Working about 100 hours a week at the moment .. and just can't find a day off ...

Please can we start a charitable fund to build a tunnel in my back garden??? ;-)

What music is everybody in to??

Hey

What sounds are you all in to? I have a really wide range of music tastes from trance, dance and other forms of electronica - right through to classical music, in fact I have over 200 classical music albums. However if someone had to ask me what, predominantly I was "in to" I would still be inclined to say "electronica" .. if you don't know what I mean go and listen to the music from www.di.fm and if you are feeling like I do at the moment - select the Chill Out channel.

Anyway, why am I asking. Well, you know, now and then I hear a track that would absolutely be perfectly suited to a piece of tunnel videography. I always think I must make a note of that, but by and large never get round to it. But I wonder how different people, with differing music tastes would go about choosing a piece of music for any given videoclip and what that music would say to YOU. It would interesting to get 1 video clip, 10 music tracks and run a poll to see who would choose what sound track. Well ok, it would be interesting for me.

I have often thought you can tell a lot about a person from their music tastes, but that could just be crap. Anyway, sorry to ramble.

New Years Resolutions

I try never to make them, because I never keep them, but thought it would be a fun conversation topic and a great way to learn about each other. Back when I used to make resolutions, my big ones were to quit smoking (which I finally did in Nov 04) and to start working out more (which I finally did in 08/04). Those are the two that plagued me forever and I am finally sticking to them both! What are your resolutions?

Best full face for tunnel - your opinions please

I have been flying with an oxygn full faced helmet in the tunnel but the visor has started opening occasionally whilst flying .. and in any case the velco strap needs changing every few hours ... ok ok .. I could put a stud on the strap .. and replace the visor .. and I'm gonna do this .. but ...

You know .. it's Christmas .. and I think I should maybe treat myself ..

Do you fly with a full faced and if so .. what do you use?

So bought a jumpsuit, decided to buy second hand as it was gonna be my first suit, figured it didn't need to fit perfectly.

Even if it sucked could just use it as a tunnel suit.

Well it arrived today and its about 2 inches too short

Well it's been a tiring old week .. got lots of work done .. got tunnelflyer.com running and more importantly .. did manage to get a little bit of flying in earlier on in the week for the first time in what seems like ages!! Wippeee!!! Gonna do some more next week and perhaps get to fly in Airkix for the first time .. I will report back what I find out.

Right, glass of Shiraz and a Dominos Pizza it is ... Hurrah!

Christmas Holidays

I'm off to Seville. It's too cold to jump out of aeroplanes at the moment. Seville (Skydive Spain) will have 2x Dornier G92s that get to 15000 ft in 10 mins. I'll fly out on 21st December and come back to blighty on 3rd January. There is lots of superbock to drink and parties every night. I might even dust off the birdman suit and do some flocking with the germans.

If you are stopping here then I hope it doesn't get too cold, that the same old TV programmes aren't too boring and that your families aren't too embarrassing.

Ooops I haven't told Santa i'm going. I hope he reads this posting.

How was the holiday for everyone? What did you choose to do? Did the higher gas prices keep you home or did you travel for the holiday?

I stayed home with my family and we baked a turkey with all the usual fixins and enjoyed a quiet day at home together. Which, if you ask me, was just PERFECT!
