Arena Airball???

The sun goes down and the fans start up.... two teams composed of 5 to 6 players each fly out into the huge oval tunnel. The stadium seating around the chamber holds a crowd excited for the nights game. A relative ball is thrown in through the bottom and the game is on. The game is simple,.... get the ball through a goal at the oppisite side of the tunnel, past the goalie while not being tackled or stripped by the opposing team... could you imagine the fun I wana play!!! What if there was no net as well... you fall out and the game continues...

VWTs in USA Today

I got a call from Laura Daily with USA Weekend (a weekend edition of USA Today) about the growing popularity of VWTs in the US. This has got to be at least partially influenced by the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. It's really exciting that our beloved sport is finally getting more attention. Laura had questions about why the sport is taking off now, and hadn't before. My only answer was that skydivers are recognizing more and more the power of tunnel time, and that extreme sports in general are getting more popular. Any thoughts on this??

I'm not sure when the article is going to print, but when I find out I'll let ya'll know. I guess Laura has been talking to representitives from a number of different tunnels, I'm really anxious to see how the article is written.

What do you think the future holds?

I think it's an interesting question, I read on Dropzone.com a topic about Tunnel Flying being 'a passing fad' .. It seems some people have trouble seeing this as a sport in it's own right.

Just interested in what you guys think the future for tunnel flying is, do you think that one day we'll have just as many tunnels as .. say swimming pools?

I would like to think that the sport will continue to gain popularity and be recognised as a serious sport, not just a training tool for lemmings!

Tunnel boarding .. who's done it .. who wants to try it ...

Now. Last time I was out at Skyventure Orlando for any length of time .. and this was quite a while ago now .. there was a deep, dark rumour that the likes of Joe had tried flying a board in the tunnel. I could be wrong, it does happen from time to time - there was an incident back in 1981, which I can remember quite clearly .. In any case .. who has seen tunnel boarding in action .. is there a future for it .. could it properly develop in to a discipline in it's own right .. or is it just tttOOooOOoOO crazy??

Who makes the best flyers--- Male or Female?

I have my own personal thoughts on the subject of who makes the best flyers.

In my opinion, if the men stop playing with the ladies minds and keep their ego in their trousers the answer is simple.

The ladies have the advantage.--They have the potential to make the best flyers--= no question!

What do you think?

If you like you can split it between skydiving and bodyflying.
