I have been flying with an oxygn full faced helmet in the tunnel but the visor has started opening occasionally whilst flying .. and in any case the velco strap needs changing every few hours ... ok ok .. I could put a stud on the strap .. and replace the visor .. and I'm gonna do this .. but ...

You know .. it's Christmas .. and I think I should maybe treat myself ..

Do you fly with a full faced and if so .. what do you use?

A lot of the tunnel flyers in the states were wearing Bonehead Mamba - or a Z1 has pretty much the same benefits just isn't quite as "cool" I love my oxygen - i know it looks a bit crap having it taped down but its so much more comfy than anything else i have tried on, and with it taped down and the stud on it is totally secure as well.

Do you actually tape down your visor - or does yours behave itself?

Did do you do the stud on the velcro strap yourself?
(that wasn't some sexual reference)

When I was on a tunnelcamp with XL 3 years back they all flew Oxygen's with the visor taped down. I lost an Oxygen visor in freeflall flying headup 3 or 4 years ago too and the hinge parts came out, so I'd recomend you tape it down in the tunnel. Other than that they're nice helmets, though Z1's have a chinstrap negating the need to replace worn velcro and the visor stays down. Also fairly cheap...
Personally though I love my FactoryDiver

I LOVE MY Z1. Great fit and comfort. Love the padding and how the visor secures. I gave up on my Oxygen visor issue and sold it. Get a Z1 but consider I'm bias

I also hear Rawa makes a nice full face.

I tape mine down, (it never came up when i was a customer but i do a lot of hours now so better safe than sorry!!!!)
The stud was done by a rigger in Perris, took about 2 minutes and cost me 5 bucks i think.
I like the fact that the way of closing the oxygen means it will not ride up on my head at all.

I have a Z1 and I LOVE IT!  I have never flown with anything else in the tunnel, so maybe I am a little biased as well.

So it sounds like I am not alone with these visor issues .. it's something that a lot of other people have encountered!

I have to confess it's only started relatively recently .. but I've tried 2 new visors and both have misbehaved. Don't know why it should just "start" happening, but there we go.

Tape and stud for the time being ..

In February I hope to get our to the USA to visit to SVO and AAC .. I'll try some helmets on at Sunshine Factory.

We use Z1's--- No complaints.

See a lot of velcro problem causing a lot of wasted tunnel time with the Oxygen's.
