| So bought a jumpsuit, decided to buy second hand as it was gonna be my first suit, figured it didn't need to fit perfectly.
Even if it sucked could just use it as a tunnel suit.
Well it arrived today and its about 2 inches too short
Damn it |

Do you have any friends that are two inches shorter than you and need a jumpsuit? Though, check out http://www.tunnelflyer.com/Topic148-20-1.aspx for information about flying in the tunnel with a sky suit.

| Yeah I was aware of the issues with flying a skysuit in the tunnel, which is why I said if it was only 2nd hand.
Thing was I wanted to try some booties in the tunnel before I tried them in the air, have 30 minutes on wednesday next week so figured could trial it in there.
Buggered that didn't it.
I have put in on ebay, and if it doesn't go from there I will put it on dz.com |

| | How come wear and tear is so great in the tunnel versus the sky? Are you folks saying that 1 hour of tunnel flying is harder on a suit than 1 hour of typical skyding use? |

| | We're implying that you can fly more in the tunnel than you could ever skydive in a year. In under 12 mons I managed about 30-35 hours of tunnel. To jump that much in a year would be challenging. Hope this helps

| Also, Skydiving suits only have to be exposed for 60 seconds at a time which would then( after lets say 60 jumps) add up to an hour. In the tunnel you are doing hours straight all the time. The material takes so much more abuse, and all at once! My opinion is that tunnels suits are way over rated, toooooo much $$, and ALL eventually die. Sweats, jeans, and a good belt is the best. Plenty of lift (especially in newer tunnels), and cheap. Plus when your shirt blows out you won't want to cry, unless you've found a good sweatshirt
